Description

Taking Action with Interactive Digital Curriculum - and Art too!

Explore the evolution of the "Civics for All" curriculum, specifically Unit 3, "Taking Action!". This session will demonstrate how the curriculum has moved from a static PDF document with simple links to a dynamic, interactive digital experience incorporating media, games, and varied texts. Learn how this transformation is designed to be simultaneously teacher-facing (providing guided questions and resources like the Digital Citizenship Week 2025 schedule ) and student-facing (offering engaging content like the Native American Heritage Jeopardy game and actionable steps for community involvement ). We will focus on utilizing platforms like Canva to understand how these interactive elements, such as those promoting Digital Citizenship and community service, empower students to become active citizens and make a difference.
